The history of the 112th Field Artillery Regiment extends back to Revolutionary times when on February 13, 1776, the Provincial Congress of New Jersey authorized the raising of two companies of artillery in the colony and provided for their stations.

Thank you for your service
The New Jersey Army National Guard welcomes qualified applicants from the active duty Army, as well as all other US military branches. The Army National Guard also accepts transfers from other Reserve/Guard components. Whether you are preparing to leave active duty, participating in the Inactive Ready Reserves (IRR), transferring from another state, or returning from a break in service, you can transition into the Army National Guard easily. As a member of the Army National Guard, you will experience the camaraderie and pride of serving your country and your community in uniform, and you will retain all your military retirement points and other military benefits as well.

Prior Service
The New Jersey Army National Guard is offering great benefits and bonuses and making sure that your valuable prior service is carried over into your enlistment. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Guard or Reserve, all branches are welcome.



Interstate Transfers
If you currently in the Army National Guard and are moving to the Jersey area we encourage you to become a member of the New Jersey Army National Guard.




Reserve Components
Drilling members and IRR members of other reserve components are eligible to transfer to the Army National Guard with approval from their chain of command.




Active Army

Two Year Stabilization
The Adjutant General of New Jersey has a two year stabilization policy to assist soldiers transitioning from active service.
